Valentine's Market

Just to remind you all that we'll be at Manchester Real Food Market this Friday and Saturday, just in time for Valentine's Day yeah! There'll be hearts a-plenty, plus some super sprinkled standard cupcakes for those that have a slight aversion to Valentines.

We've been whipping up some new flavours for you this month - top of the list are Banoffee (of which Mr i love cake ate 6 in a row), Raspberry Ripple, Nutella and Caramel. Surely your New Year diets deserve a break?

Christmas presents

This Christmas, i love cake teamed up with Magnetic North to make some super cute presents for their clients. 

Each spangly gold box had almost everything you need to make i love cake's Christmas cupcakes - a very secret recipe (shhh), piping bag and nozzle, even spanglier cases, Christmassy sprinkles, chocolate...cinnamon sticks...the lot. What a lucky lot.

A Winter Wedding

Ooo Christmassy wedding cakes for Marie. I like these. I think these photos look a bit shabby but these cakes looked a real treat in all their silver and red finery. I just love those little sugar flowers too. They just seem to make the perfect little cake.

Birthday Butterflies

Zareen asked us to deliver some surprise birthday cakes to her sister Hina - butterflies, flowers and hearts. Pretty and girly.

Christmas Market

We'll be churning out Christmas cakes a plenty this weekend for the Manchester Real Food Market.

November Market

Here is a pic from our stall a couple of weeks ago. You may notice a lack of cupcakes - we kind of felt like baking something new for a change, and wondered if you guys fancied trying something new too.

You kind of did (especially brownies) but we gotta say, the cupcakes flew off the stall the quickest, followed by other cakey treats. So it turns out you really do love cake.

Next month there will be a mountain of cupcakes we promise.

This weekend

Don't forget we're at Piccadilly Gardens market today and tmw. Feeling a bit experimental, we decided to try some new recipes this month. So get on down there for brownies, flapjack, cookies, cakes and a few of your favourite cupcakes.

Council Cakes

More cupcakes for Manchester City Council's New East Manchester department. This time we made them a tower of vanilla, lemon, chocolate and mint choc chip cakes. Sweet!

Halloween cakes

Gareth is starting his new job at Wonder tomorrow and wanted to sweeten his fellow designers up with some cupcakes. We chose these Halloween sprinkles because...well really because they're just pretty cool. And it feels kind of Halloweeny and frosty outside. Enjoy!

Channel 5 wanted to say thank you for being jolly nice people to Granada TV, and what better way than with a giant box of cupcakes.

Autumn Wedding

The lovely Laura got married at the lovely Cresswell Hall last Saturday. There was a distinct feel of Autumn in the air at this wedding. Oranges, purples and pumpkins of the tables.
We made Laura a mix of flavours topped with colours to match, including some deep purple blackberries.

Trouble Afoot

Bad news I'm afraid. The British Defence League are having a knees up in the city centre on Saturday and as a result have scared most of the market traders off....including i love cake.

Sorry! Buy if anyone wants to order some cakes for delivery we'll be on it in a flash. Just say the words 'need cake' and we're there.

Hello folks. Just to let you know we'll be at Manchester Farmer's Market this Friday and Saturday.

Flavour of the Month is After Eight - rich, sticky chocolate cake topped with a chilly minty frosting.

Super Chocolate Birthday Cakes

We say Super Chocolate because these cakes are indeed super chocolatey. Rich chocolate cake, chocolate and Oreo icing topped with, yep, more chocolate (and a little bit of glitter. Well it is a birthday). A true treat.
Happy Birthday Lesley's nephew! Don't eat them all at once!

English Garden Party Wedding

Liz got married today at the beautiful Combermere Glasshouse. The sun was shining, the bunting was up and errr, the cupcakes were baked.

Liz chose a mix of flavours and sprinkles including some really pretty flowers don't you think?

Walrus Bar in the Northern Quarter had a swap your own clothes fashion afternoon last wkd, which we gladly made some scrumptious cupcakes for.

i love cake is on a detox at the moment and would gladly eat up every single last one of those cupcakes right now.

Cakes for Manchester Sofball League

This weekend Manchester Softball are playing in a big and quite professional looking tournement in Didsbury. All that running around and team cheering needs fuelling, and what better way than with some sweeeet cupcakes. The ones with the stitching are softballs by the way......
