Fridays are sweet

Fridays are indeed sweet at Reform because it's Sweet Friday!
i love cake dropped a box round to the office last week and a little bird told us they were all gone before we'd even got back to cake HQ. And that's what Friday's are for - good work we say.

Valentines Day orders

Yes it's nearly that time of the year again. Funny day Valentine's isn't it? Half the world feels all snuggly and loved and half get a bit fed up that the only card they got was from their mum.
Well here at i love cake we can't see why everyone doesn't deserve a bit of affection, so why not show it with a sweet little box of cupcakes this year?
Order early to avoid disappointment! Or come and pick them up from us a next month's Manchester Market - 13th and 14th Feb, 10-5.30pm

January market

Another freeeezing weekend at the market! We had our own little sale to keep the January blues away.

Not-very-seasonal Lemon and Poppy Seed cupcakes

We made these very un-wintery cupcakes kind of by mistake-ish. The origional plan was to bake apple and cinnamon (much more cosy) cakes for the market, but though they tasted great, they did not look pretty. Far too much muffin top for a dainty little cupcake - a bit like the cupcake's ugly step sister. Or a cross breed - half muffin, half some sort of crazy scone. Anyway. I should have just taken a picture.
After a quick look in the cupboard and a stumble upon this topnotch lemon curd, the lemon and poppy seed cupcake 2009 was born. A moist, tangy, sweet, delicious little treat.
I'm afraid we can't take all the credit for this recipe however. This cake was origionally created by a Mrs Sarah Flavell - excellent cake baker and even better graphic designer (she made the lovely i love cake logo). Sorry Sarah! The secret's safe with us ;)

New Year cupcakes

We took these to the Pitsillos' New Year's 80's extravaganza of a party. We like to think they went down a treat but we can't remember.....
Happy New Year and see you at Manchester Farmer's Market on 9th and 10th Jan.

Christmas Eve yeah!

Actually it's not Christmas Eve at all - we're a little behind with these last few posts. Got a bit tangled up with Christmas and all that and suddenly it's 2009! Happy New Year!
Anyway, where was I. Here is our last batch of cupcakes all boxed up and ready to go. Finally phew!

A Glorious Christmas

These cakes were specially made for Glorious Creative to send to their clients as Christmas presents. They chose gold cases for some extra pazzaz.
Apologies for the tacky title on this post - whenever I tried to think of anything else it just kept springing back to mind. Terrible.
